Question:
Doc,
I am a 20 year old college student. I have always had thin blonde hair, but over the past year it has begun to recede. Once someone noticed this and brought it to my attention I freaked out. I am always looking in the mirror to see if it has gotten any worse. Since then my hair has begun to thin even more. Met with my doctor and he suggested propecia and rogaine. The sexual side effects scare me and I have read awful things regarding that product. I am very interested in purchasing Revivogen and would like these questions answered:
1) After reading these FAQ's, should I expect this increased hairloss within the first few weeks before the product starts thickening my hair?
2) Being a student and living a college lifestyle gets difficult. I would apply the product at night and use the shampoo in the mornings... if I don't apply the product some nights(weekends) will this dramtically alter affects? Can I still wear baseball caps regularly?
3) Does applying hairspray and or gel in the morning for class and then not showering before I apply the formula at night affect results?
4) I enjoy lifting weight and take basic supplements (i.e. protein shakes, creatine). Will these have any affect?
5) I shower twice a day, should I use the Revivogen shampoo both times, or will this dry my hair/scalp?
6) Finally, are you familiar with the product Procerin?
Hope to hear from you as soon as possible so I can choose which product is right for me.

Dear Sean, Thank you for your interest in Revivogen. Here are your answers: 1.You will experience shedding while your hair in going into a new growth phase. Although, that hair will be replaced by healthy hair. The hair follicle goes through cycles of growth, rest, and shedding. Once the hair follicle has reached the end of its growth cycle it enters the resting phase were the hair production is stopped and the hair is detached from the bulb. At this point the hair will fall within a few months regardless and this happens when the hair follicle tries to grow a new hair. Depending on how many hairs you have in the resting phase you will experience a shed sometimes not even noticeable when the hair follicles are stimulated to grow again. You do have to remember that it is normal to shed 100-150 hairs a day with or without a hair loss problem. The other hair follicles which are still in the growth phase will continue growing, as they will be protected by the formula. So the shedding only involves the hairs that were already going to fall within the next three months and these hairs will grow back. Also, Revivogen speeds up the growth cycle so it will cycle through the stages faster creating more growth.
2.You must use the Revivogen Treatment serum every night for 90 days. Thereafter you can switch to every other night. Yes, you can wear baseball hats.
3.No, as long as you do not apply the product to your scalp and to the hair as they are directed.
4. No 5. Not necessary 6. We are familiar with Procerin and according to the information on their website there are no substantial ingredients or clinical trials to support any claims that their product would do anything more than moisturize the scalp. Oral botanical supplements are ineffective at treating hair loss because of the small doses and the fact that only about 5% of the ingredients are distributed to the scalp.
