Question:
Hello, DR. Khadavi,
My question is: If one uses Revivogen for a long period of time could the production of AR receptors Eventually get damaged and stop producing? Do you think that is the next step in the future of hair loss is too simply stop AR production in the hair follicle.
Question two: I have been trying to get a friend to use Revivogen. He uses Dusteride for his hair loss. Isn't Dusteride harmfull to the body over a long periods of time because your body needs some DHT in the body. Help me convince him to use your product. I think products like avodart are dangerous do you feel the same way? Thanks for your time, Matthew Morrison
Dear Matthew,
Revivogen would not make a permanent change in the function of the follicle. That is dictated by the DNA which is not changed by anything in Revivogen. If eventually the technology to change the DNA becomes available it would be better used to remove or repair the gene causing hair loss than stopping RA production.
For safety of Dutastride you should review their literature but it seems to be a fairly safe drug. The problem with Dutastride like Propecia is that it is not specifically directed to the follicles like Revivogen and reduces DHT production all over the body which can in some individuals cause certain side effects. If your friend is happy with Dutatstride and is getting results then you should not push him to switch to Revivogen or anything else. If he is interested in learning more the advantages of Revivogen are that it is natural, it reduces DHT production as effectively as Dutastride, it only has a local effect and no systemic effect. Furthermore, it activates the follicles (like Rogaine) and blocks the androgen receptors not done by Dutatstride. Also Revivogen can be used along with Dutastride without any issues.
