I am 66 yr.old woman. Been on finasteride 7 mos now. 4 to 5 wks ago started tremendous shed (I've never had much shedding). It is still going on. Is this possibly caused by finasteride. If I want to stop the med, how can I do this - taper off, or cold turkey. Please give me your opinion. I use your shampoo & conditioner,but you told me your liquid probably would not be helpful at my age. Please reply.

Finasteride has been associated with initial shedding but should not continue for a long period of time. Have you been taking pictures of your scalp to monitor the thickening or thinning of your hair. Please keep us updated on your progress.
