Question:
You asked when I stopped using minoxidil? Here are the facts: I started using revivogen last December 4, 2007. I used 1ml of revivogen in the evening and used 1ml. of minoxidil in the morning after shampoo. On December 18, 2007 I stopped using minoxidil and used only 1ml of revivogen at night. As I've said the first two months of use was great however for three weeks now I'm experiencing a lot of shedding so much so that my scalp is shiny now compared to before using revivogen. I know that individual results may vary but I was expecting better conditions on the thired month use of revivogen. My questions are: 1. Are the minoxidil-dependent hairs falling out? 2. Should I still keep using revivogen and expect better results on the six month stage? 3. Is the shedding I'm experiencing a "good sign"
I have faith in your product, but as it is things are not yet looking better. Thanks.
Dear JS
1. When you discontinue use of Minoxidil your scalp responds by going into shock manifesting in hyper shedding, but it is difficult to tell if that is what is still responsible for the shedding. I suggest that you start using 2 ml of Revivogen a day and after 30 days let me know what has transpired. 2. As stated above try for 30 more days at 2 ml and check back after 30 days. 3.At this point I can't be sure. The hair follicle goes through cycles of growth, rest, and shedding. Once the hair follicle has reached the end of its growth cycle it enters the resting phase were the hair production is stopped and the hair is detached from the bulb. At this point the hair will fall within a few months regardless and this happens when the hair follicle tries to grow a new hair. Depending on how many hairs you have in the resting phase when the hair follicles are stimulated to grow again. You do have to remember that it is normal to shed 100-150 hairs a day with or without a hair loss problem. The other hair follicles which are still in the growth phase will continue growing, as they will be protected by the formula. So the shedding only involves the hairs that were already going to fall within the next three months and these hairs will grow back. Also, Revivogen speeds up the growth cycle so it will cycle through the stages faster creating more growth. Let me know after 30 days.
