Question:
I have suffered from hair loss for about 3 years. 10 weeks ago i started using Revivogen. After about 5-6 weeks I noticed increased shedding and Im still shedding a lot. Is this a normal phase of the treatment that I just need to go through? Should I stop the treatment? I haven't noticed any thickening of my hair this far.
Regards, Martin
Dear Martin
Shedding seems to be the main concern for everyone beginning a hair loss treatment so you are not alone. The idea of losing any more hair is frightening. Becoming informed is the best way to deal with any fear so please do not hesitate to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have and hopefully the information we offer can help you to feel more confident about the process you are about to undergo. Actually, the shedding process is the first positive sign that Revivogen is working for you. The hair follicle goes through cycles of growth, rest, and shedding. Once the hair follicle has reached the end of its growth cycle it enters the resting phase were the hair production is stopped and the hair is detached from the bulb. At this point the hair will fall within a few months regardless and this happens when the hair follicle tries to grow a new hair. Depending on how many hairs you have in the resting phase you will experience a shed sometimes not even noticeable when the hair follicles are stimulated to grow again. You do have to remember that it is normal to shed 100-150 hairs a day with or without a hair loss problem. The other hair follicles which are still in the growth phase will continue growing, as they will be protected by the formula. So the shedding only involves the hairs that were already going to fall within the next three months and these hairs will grow back. Also, Revivogen speeds up the growth cycle so it will cycle through the stages faster creating more growth.
