Shedding

Name: Andy
Question:

Will Revivogen cause shedding to occur. How bad will it be? My thinning on the top of my crown is barely noticable right now, so I don't really want to lose more hair. What is the difference between Revivogen and say, Nioxin?

Dear Andy,

Yes, Revivogen speeds up the growth cycle of your hair. The shedding process is the first positive sign that Revivogen is working for you.
Your hair follicle goes through cycles of growth, rest, and shedding. Once the hair follicle has reached the end of its growth cycle it enters the resting phase were the hair production is stopped and the hair is detached from the bulb. At this point the hair will fall within a few months regardless and this happens when the hair follicle tries to grow a new hair. Depending on how many hairs you have in the resting phase you will experience a shed sometimes not even noticeable when the hair follicles are stimulated to grow again. You do have to remember that it is normal to shed 100-150 hairs a day with or without a hair loss problem. The other hair follicles which are still in the growth phase will continue growing, as they will be protected by the formula. So the shedding only involves the hairs that were already going to fall within the next three months and these hairs will grow back. Revivogen syncronizes the growth cycle, and keeps it in the resting phase longer.
There is a Huge difference between Revivogen and Nioxin. The main difference is that Revivogen is formulated to treat hair loss by blocking DHT and preventing further hair loss and also generating hair regrowth. Nioxin on the other hand does not treat hair loss, it conditions your hair and bring nutrients to the scalp. Hair loss is not, I repeat, NOT caused by lack of nutrients. Hair loss is caused by the hair follicle being exposed to DHT: a hormone by-product causes 95% of Hair loss. Over the years, as the hair follicle is exposed to DHT, it gradually losses its girth and becomes miniaturized hairs or peach fuzz hairs. Revivogen works to reduce DHT production by blocking it from the hair shaft, so that the hair follicle could become thicker and fuller over time.
