is it best to apply the scalp therapy solution to a clean dry scalp like after taking a shower or does it work the same regardless of the condition of the scalp

The time of day or night does not matter. After a shower is fine as long as the scalp is not wet so as not to dilute the product and diminish results.
It isn't necessary to take a shower although you scalp must be reasonably clean.
