Question:
Hello.
I just spent my night reading every Q & A on this site.
I came across what appears to be inconsistent information. Can you please explain.
In a recent post that I have pasted below, for your reference, a person asked about the use of zinc pyrithione in your formula as he was concerned that it led to shrinking of the hair diameter.
You replied stating that Revivogen instead uses 'ionic zinc" which has the opposite effect. You did not dispute his remark, you merely said that your formula uses a different ingredient that does just the opposite.
Below is the original post....
Original Question: "I just read a study saying that Zinc pyrithione causes the hair diameter to shrink."
Your Reply: "Dear Matt, We use ionic Zinc in our formula which has been shown to increase the diameter of the hair root."
However, in a totally different post, a person was asking about dandruff conditioners and you stated the following response.........
"Revivogen Shampoo has Zinc Pyrithione 1% so you don't need to use the other conditioner."
This seems to be totally at odds with what you stated in the other response. Please explain.
Thank you.
Danny,
We use the ionic zinc in the scalp therapy which affects the hair follicle and zinc pyrithione in our shampoo and conditioner that has a positive affect on the scalp. The ingredients in the shampoo and conditioner never reach the hair follicle becuase they are on the scalp for a short period of time mixed with surfactants. Also there is no delivery system in the shampoo and conditioner.
