Male pattern baldness is a genetic condition inherited
from either parent. For men experiencing hair loss of
this type, the genetically affected hair follicles are
susceptible to a byproduct of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone,

both type I and type II forms of 5-alpha reductase by
up to 90%. As such, Dutastride inhibits DHT production
more effectively. Initial tests have shown that Dutastride

than Propecia. Dutastride is an oral medication as well,
